Dan’s Specialities

Dan graduated with his MA-MFT from Bethel University in San Diego. He has specialized experience in working with Depression and Anxiety, Boundaries, Codependency, Multicultural Issues, and individuals affected by those with Personality Disorders. He’s good at getting individuals and couples out of stuck states.

Dan previously worked at the San Diego Rescue Mission for four years, finishing as the Director of Therapeutic Services. With that, Dan has extensive experience treating clients with Dual-Diagnoses (those suffering from both substance abuse and mental health struggles). Here, Dan led group processing classes on Boundaries for both men and women.

Dan has completed Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Core Skills 1-4 for Couples. He is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Level 1 for the reduction of trauma-related symptoms.

Passion areas for Dan include Multiculturalism, Personality Disorders, Personality Indicators (i.e. Myers Briggs / Enneagram), Schema Therapy, Parts of Self (Internal Family Systems), and Spiral Dynamics (the study of human consciousness). He is also in the process of publishing a book on the blend of psychology, sociology, and spirituality.
